Why should fire equipment be regularly serviced? Customary testing and maintenance of your equipment will ensure its operation and effectiveness in the event of a fire. Under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 200, responsibility is placed on the owner or agent of the building to ensure that a copy of the Annual Fire Safety Statement (ass) is provided to Council and your local Fire Brigade by its due date. The owner is needed to ensure that each of the fire safety measures on the statement has been assessed by a properly suited person. By having your property Certified, this indicates that in the event of a fire, all fire protection equipment on site should labor effectively and can be impaired to minimize the damage to your property. Even if Council has not requested an ass, we would still strongly advise that you have us undertake all scheduled maintenance of the equipment on your property. We can supply an AFC (Annual Fire Safety Certificate) for all supple equipment to you free of charge on completion of needed works and receipt of payment of your account. If your Council requires an Annual Fire Safety Statement, you can request a schedule from them containing all listed equipment on your property that requires Certification. This should then be forwarded to us so we can commence testing of these items. In the event that there is no existing schedule, all equipment on site must be Certified.
