What you should know about Charity: Water

Clean in Warringah, Community Service in Warringah, Children in Warringah, Safe in Warringah

Giving water, giving life we raise funds to provide clean, safe drinking water for communities in africa. There is a simple solution and australians can be part of giving a hand up not a hand out. Educating australians on the needs of those in developing countries is part of what we do. 5,000 children die every day because of diseases from unclean water.

million people do not have access to orderly water and almost 2.5 billion do not have access to sufficient sanitation. BeyondWater identifies communities and villages in need of clean water via two ways. Konza is a distant community in Eastern Kenya which is in vast need of a deep bore well. Fundraising ideas to aid you get involved. Most of us have never really been thirsty. We relax in enough water to keep a family of four alive for two days! A person can survive 3 weeks without food but only 3 days without water. BeyondWater do not drill the wells ourselves as it would take years of research and training to learn about the soil conditions and become familiar with the culture of each portion of the country instead we partner with existing organizations, we look for the best in the business in that region and then labor with them to amplify their capacity to deliver a sustainable water well in the community we have identified. Our cost effective wells are appropriately specified, properly sited and drilled using pertinent methods and equipment based on the geological reports we receive about that area. Thus the lowest cost well is not eternal the maximum cost effective. BeyondWater do not drill the wells themselves as it would receive years of research and training to learn about the soil conditions and become familiar with the culture of each part of the country instead we partner with existing organizations, we look for the best in the business in that region and then labor with them to amplify their capacity to deliver a sustainable water well in the community we have identified. In some areas where the water table is tall the wells can be dug by hand, but in other regions it requires dense machinery and days of drilling. Thus the lowest cost wells is not perpetual the maximum cost effective. The drilling company camp at the location and bring in everything with them as it is often a distant piece of the country. It allows people to pump the water into containers. It is small adequate for children to use and sturdy enough to end for years and years. That leaves the elderly, women and children left behind in Konza to maintain the town. It is a semiarid area with very undependable rainfall. The soil is actually fertile, if they had water, they could support and bear enough food for the community. The people here spend a lot of time, effort and money in accessing water from outer their community area. That leaves the elderly, women and children left after in Konza. Money is also allocated to educate and train community members on how to maintain the fresh water source. Clean water gives more than impartial orderly water. Previously these where people who lived in an Internally Displaced Peoples camp as there was civil war in Northern Uganda for 20 years. There was no water for the House of Hope orphanage, nor the people living in the area of Lulu, Northern Uganda.
