We have manageable class sizes and forward thinking teachers who are fully committed to helping students achieve the superior results they can. At the last of the year, fresh school buildings are needed to cater for the increasing number of students. The Preschool is opened in a new school building. For the beginning time the school has a Year 10 and more than 100 students are now enrolled. Important decisions are shaping the school’s future: adapting the school year to match the German school year, the introduction of the International Baccalaureate and a project for the school’s lengthy term location. The Cultural center starts planning activities with the aim of hosting routine events to establish itself as a cultural meeting place in order to make the school well known within the community. Transitions into diverse year levels flow smoothly at Hiss and close relationships and cooperation between the diverse year groups ensure that students experience continuity as they progress up the school. In the bilingual AB both German and English language are worn in lessons. There is also an exchange between students, teaching staff as healthy as between parents and the overall school community. We find it imperative to prepare students for the coming and value a close cooperation between students, parents, teachers, management and the board of directors. Our focus is to encourage our students to examine a broad curriculum to achieve individual academic win while also fostering personal development in preparation for life behind school. Our program is about much more than preparing your child for school. We produce a stimulating learning environment which encourages creativity, exploration and genuine experiences as a basis for conceptual understanding. We present a bilingual preschool program which is based on an immersion approach.
